According to a revelation from Catalunya Radio, Erling Haaland's release clause at Manchester City has been pushed back a year since Pep Guardiola's extension. Biography !!

Erling Braut Haaland is the son of Alf-Inge Håland, a Norwegian professional footballer who worked for Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Manchester City and Gry Marita Braut, a former heptathlete[2]. Born Erling Braut Håland, he had the official spelling of his surname changed in the Norwegian civil registry in 2018 when he signed with the Austrian club Salzburg[3] !! 

In club

        Bryne FK

Trained at the Bryne FK training center, Haaland played the 2015 and 2016 seasons with the club's reserves in the Norwegian fourth division, where he stood out by scoring 18 goals in 14 games. These performances earned him his first team debut on May 12, 2016 at the age of 15 in a second division match against Ranheim[4]. He played sixteen games in his first professional season, mainly as a substitute, however not scoring any goals while the club was finally relegated at the end of the year[5].       Molde FK

Coveted by several teams in the Norwegian first division, Haaland finally signed up for Molde FK on February 1, 2017[6].

         Red Bull Salzburg

His transfer to the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg for a period of five years was announced on August 19, 2018, but only took effect from January 1, 2019, because the Norwegian championship is played over the calendar year and is ends in November[13]. 

Haaland made his debut there on February 17, 2019 in the Austrian Cup against Wiener Neustadt and then in the league a week later against Rapid Vienna.           Borussia Dortmund

2019-2020 season

On December 29, 2019, Borussia Dortmund formalized the transfer of Erling Haaland[18]. The latter joins the German club for four seasons, just one year after joining Red Bull Salzburg[19]. On January 18, 2020, he played his first match in the Borussia jersey against FC Augsburg. Came into play in the 56th minute when his team was trailing 3-1, Haaland scored a hat-trick in the space of twenty-three minutes and participated in winning 3-5[20]. He did it again the following week by scoring twice, completing the victory of his team against FC Cologne (5-1)[21]. Erling Haaland is elected Player of the month and Rookie of the month for the month of January 2020 in the Bundesliga[22]. On May 16, for the resumption of the Bundesliga following the stoppage of the championship due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he scored his tenth goal in the competition during the Ruhr Derby (4-0)[27] . A few days later, against Bayern Munich, he was injured following a collision with the match referee[28]. After two missed games due to this injury, Erling Haaland won his team in the very last moments of the match against Fortuna Düsseldorf by scoring the winning goal with a header (1-0) !! 

2020-2021 season 

On November 21, 2020, Haaland was elected Golden Boy by the Italian daily Tuttosport[30]. The same day, he scored the first quadruple of his Bundesliga career in a 5-2 win over Hertha Berlin. While he is the author of an impressive start to the 2020-2021 season with Dortmund (17 goals in 14 games in all competitions) he is injured in early December and is absent until January[32]. 

Back from injury, he still scored twice against RB Leipzig and thus allowed Dortmund to win 3-1 on behalf of the 15th day of the 2020-2021 Bundesliga seasonDuring the 18th day of the Bundesliga, he scored twice again, twice served by Jadon Sancho, but could not prevent his team's defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-2)[33]. On March 9, 2021, during the draw between his club and Sevilla FC (2-2)[34], he became the youngest player to score 20 goals in the Champions League, and that in just 14 games, or ten less than Harry Kane, the previous record holder[35]. With the BVB, he reached the final of the German Cup in 2021, taking place on May 13, 2021, against RB Leipzig, and during which he started. He stood out by achieving a double, contributing to the victory of the Black and Yellow by four goals to one [36]. This is therefore his first trophy won with Dortmund. 

On August 26, 2021, he was voted best striker of the 2020-2021 season in the Champions League !! 

2021-2022 season 

Haaland begins the 2021-2022 season with a double on the first day against Eintracht Frankfurt on August 14, 2021. He is also the author of three assists that day, being then involved in all of the goals of his team, which won by four goals to two[38]. 

On April 30, 2022, Haaland scored a league hat-trick against VfL Bochum. However, his team lost at home by four goals to three !! 

Manchester City 

In May 2022, Manchester City announced that it had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to buy the Norwegian striker's contract, after activating his release clause of 60 million euros[40]. 

The transfer is definitively concluded on June 13, 2022, and Haaland officially joins the club on July 1, 2022[41]. His father, Alf-Inge Håland, had also joined the club on June 13, twenty-two years earlier. The transfer announcement video released by Manchester City echoes a famous photo of the player, still a child, sitting on a sofa and wearing a club shirt from the 2008-2009 season !! 

For his debut on the pitch with his new club, he made an impression and set a new record. On October 2, Haaland again scores a hat-trick and delivers two assists for his first Manchester derby[45]. He had previously said that the clash against Manchester United was a game he was looking forward to because his father, Alf-Inge, had to end his career shortly after a Manchester derby in 2001, during which Roy Keane was seriously injured the Norwegian on the knee with aextremely violent tackle[46]. He becomes the fastest player to score three hat-tricks in Premier League history, achieving the feat in just 8 games while the record previously held by Michael Owen was 48 games. He also became the first player in the English league to score three hat-tricks in a row at home !!
